Privacy Policy
This policy explains how EVAI Inc. ("EVAI", "we", "us") handles information when you visit evai.games or play our games (the "Services"). We try to collect only what we need to run the game and make it better.
What we collect
- Account info. A username, display name and an account secret (stored only as a hash) so we can recognize you between sessions. If you choose to link Discord, we receive your Discord user ID and whether you're a member of our Discord server.
- Content you create. Characters, prompts, descriptions, uploaded images, chat messages, hangouts, votes, links you submit (e.g. YouTube videos) and feedback or reports you send us.
- Settings. Preferences such as language, content filters and cosmetic choices.
- Usage and technical data. Gameplay events, game version, platform, device and operating system details, IP address, logs and crash reports. We use these to keep the game running, fix bugs and understand which features people use.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
AI-generated content
Our games use AI models to generate dialogue, voices, images and 3D content. To do that, the text, images and other content you provide are sent to the AI providers we work with, which process them on our behalf to produce a response. Please don't put sensitive personal information (yours or anyone else's) into prompts, characters or chats.
AI output can be wrong, strange or offensive. It doesn't reflect the views of EVAI.
How we use information
- To provide the game: your account, your creations, AI conversations and multiplayer features.
- To show public content: characters and hangouts you publish can be seen by other players.
- To keep things safe: enforcing usage limits, moderating content and handling reports.
- To improve the game: debugging, analytics and reviewing feedback.
- To communicate with you, for example when you contact us.
Service providers
We share information with trusted providers only as needed to run the Services, including:
- Hosting, databases and file storage (e.g. Render, Cloudflare)
- AI model providers (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter and 3D/voice generation services)
- Analytics, logging and error monitoring (e.g. Mixpanel, Axiom, Sentry)
- Platforms you use to get or connect to the game (e.g. Steam, itch.io, Discord), which handle purchases and logins under their own privacy policies
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our users or the Services, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. Logs and analytics are kept for a limited period. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we need to keep it for legal or security reasons.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, email us at the address below. If you're in the EU/UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Children
Our games aren't made for children under 13, or under the minimum age for digital consent where they live (up to 16 in parts of the EU). We don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we have, we'll delete their account and information. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is perfectly secure.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the date above when we do, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the game or on our Discord.
